Birthday trip

We're going to our first trip on my birthday! First time going to Vietnam and I'm excited to eat authentic Vietnamese food and coffee in the country itself. Will be heading out tomorrow on a morning flight. I just became a millionaire with close with 5 million dong in my wallet.

My 28th birthday present

My sweetest and goody dear gave me an early birthday present and it arrived just in time for me to use at the beach. Looking back since the day I turned 21 til now, I've received a varied number of presents from him. This is the most intimate one. Right dear?

The amazing part is that I was thinking if buying the stuff just days before. Plus the fact that he got the correct sizes thats amazing.

Thank you for the very practical gift and we're looking forward to spending my first birthday overseas.

Long time....

The last time we've posted was like way back in 2008 and now its already 2011. 3 years just went past...

Alot have happened to us.... We've applied for flats and had several failed attempts, plus 1 successful one. Less than 1000 days, the target date is 31st March 2013. So its around 1 year plus for our HOME.

We also went on 2 long holidays and several short trips.



Looking forward to wherever we plan our next trip to be.

We had our first quarrel!!! It started when I wanted to sleep more than 30 mins. Hee... Coz I'm a pig. I admit that. Just look at the name of this blog and this shows how much dear dear understands me. Although it wasn't nice quarreling with him, I realised that it was our first quarrel in the midst of the quarrel. I know, weird timing but it just strikes me at that time.

I know my dear dear has suffered loneliness due to my wonderful gift to just fall asleep. Poor him, sayang sayang.

I got my first and earliest Christmas present from dear dear too. Now its my turn to buy his hubby day present, christmas present, birthday present and also Vday present. Sigh... I can totally feel a huge headache coming up.

Studied and analyzed this poem during my lecture. Although the poem is kind of on the depressed, negative side as the person who wrote this poem knew that he was going to die of TB. One phrase lighted a light bulb in me. "Never have relish in the faery power Of unreflecting love"

Basically it meant that he had never enjoyed love because he knew that he was going to die young, love which is unreflecting. Love is not reflective and when one is in love, one doesnt think.

That was how we started, at least on my part, my thinking part of the brain shut down. Maybe that was why even up to now, certain parts were still a blur. All that I remembered was that it was all very sweet, although hazy.

Currently, my dear dear is studying hard for his examinations. Poor me cant disturb him as often as I like. Need to self-entertain myself until his exams are over. By then, its my time to be busy with assignments and also marking of exams.

Sidetrack a bit, he was such a dear and he got me a VERY early birthday present. Hee... Dont want to show the photo of the phone because I'm too lazy to upload the photos and I dont want to mess up this really nice post.

PS: I'm really lousy with password, and finally I managed to login and type out a post!

Anniversay Celebration

We celebrated our anniversary celebration on 14th June at Marina Mandarin. I'm not sure if its counted as our first or second anniversary, but whose counting.

This is the first time that I'm posting photos up on blogspot, so hope that I got it right.

Poem for dear dear

Lazy Saturday

On this fateful day, I met my dear dear for breakfast. And for the rare occasion, I was early for our breakfast date. It been so long since I had hotcakes for breakfast. Just that as usual I cant finish the whole meal. But it was really relaxing to go to town in the early morning and then have breakfast before all the shops are open.

It is also one of the rare days when we watched a 10am movie. Been wanting to watch the movie, Iron Man since it opened. Even at 10am, there are people there to watch an early movie.

I also got a present from him, it was a spa voucher. I can choose either the outlet at orchard or at Bukit Batok! Hee... It involves a scrub, massage and steam bath.

It is also the day where I injuried him. Ouch! My poor dear dear. I'm sure that he will recover very soon from the injury. It must have been a very memorable day for him. Hee.....

Dinner for dear dear

Cook some stuff for my dear dear who only know how to pig on the bed while i sweat it out in the kitchen hee.. Next time must let her do some cooking. Hopefully she doesn't cook the milk pasta or over salt the kang kong again haha..

Went to the Jewel Box at Mt Faber for dear dear "punishment" for being unromantic-ness, so she got to plan for an outing that is suppose to be romantic hee..

Was declared by my dear dear that I'm an unromantic girlfriend on Vday. In the first place, I wasnt romantic ma....

Hee....Still, its obvious from the gifts that I gave him so fast. All the things from the pen, wallet, shirts, cups and exercise machine. These are all practical presents. Even the Mac lunch is practical because it filled his tummy.

Lucky me got a romantic boyfriend and lucky him got a practical girlfriend. Its like we got the best of both worlds right??? This is going to be a simple entry because I dont like to figure out complex stuff like how to add in pictures.

Maybe I'll learn to be more romantic in the near future. Okie....

Post Valentine's meal

After complaining to her that she was really unromantic at V day, dear dear attempted to spring a surprise by ordering macdonalds to my workplace (her colleague's idea). It's a very filling lunch and after work, we went Dian Xiao Er for dinner.. For her efforts, she get a box of Godiva choc which she forget to bring home hee.. My silly dear dear hee..

Went to sunset way to eat the V day dinner at Cafe D Orient. I choose that restaurant after doing some research. The food there is nice and the deco is rather unique.

Went to Vivo city after that before heading home. Dear dear is so unromantic, whinig all the way about her shoes and wanting to buy gift for her friend. Felt so unappreciated, especially spending a month of take home pay on her and her family in the past 2 months. What to do right, most unromantic day of my life.

CNY gifts

Went shopping for the CNY gift for my dear dear. Last time round, I didn't attempt to score points with my dear dear parents, so it's time to put things right. Went shopping around in Vivo City. Thought of buying a hamper from Eu Yang Seng, but alas it was all sold out. Got to go for the "ala-carte" items. In the end, hope her mum will like it. By doing this, I hope to say I am really serious about her and will work hard to provide for her and her family.




Got bird nest, abalone, herbal jelly and ginseng tea, all the aunties uncles favourite hee...




Got an awefully chocolate cake as well. This simple looking cake is delicious and rich.. yum yum



Hope my dear dear and her family will like the gifts. Now that I know the feeling of "ai wu ji wu". Because I love her, I will love her family as well. Meanwhile Happy CNY !!!
